Obviously, gold is a major mainstay in my personal style.  And, like any New York girl does, I love black– especially when there are unusual textures involved (distressing, leather, fur…)  When I picked up these black and gold striped heels from JCrew (on sale!), they inspired me to put together an outfit around these two wardrobe foundations. The shirt is actually a great find from H&M, in a very now color: mustard (gold’s saturated cousin).  The distressed black jeans add the right amount of texture and edge to to outfit; extra plus for having knee-holes that I am obsessed with currently (they remind me of my awkward tomboy years where my jeans got holes in the knees the “natural” way lol!).  This leather jacket is an old go-to from Mango– a treasure in genuine leather for $200, with a perfect fit and nice metal detailing…I would literally wear it everyday if I could! Have a closer look and shop the links to the items below:

Black leather motorcycle jacket: Mango | Mustard long-sleeve thin sweater: H&M | Gold and black striped heels: JCrew (sold out, but similar here)| Black distressed jeans: Zara

Black leather bag with gold hardware: Chanel (Petite Shopping Tote) | Gold and black chain necklace: Zara (sold out) | Lipstick: MAC “So Chaud” | Two-tone watch: Michael Kors | Gold cuff: JCrew

Hope this inspires you to use an accessory as the foundation to build a look!

xo,

Christine

Love this edgy look with black and gold. The shoes are my favorite, but you did a great job styling overall. This mustard sweater is a great color on you.
