Grey silk button down: Madewell | Faux Leather shorts: Nordstrom (sold out, similar here, here, and here) | Snakeskin loafers: ASOS | Shades: Saint Laurent (sold out) |Pebbled Leather Crossbody: Gucci| Black Leather band bracelet: J. Crew

I wore this look for brunch and the Brooklyn Brewery with my bests this weekend…and it was totally inspired by these ASOS snakeskin loafers that I’m OBSESSED with!!! I pulled from the dark colors in the “snakeskin” (these guys are only about $50 , so obvi they are a synthetic material), and paired them with this grey silk flowy button up from my FAVE SPOT for quality basics, Madewell, and these old, old, old, OLD faux leather shorts. My fave black Saint Laurent sunnies and Soho crossbody kept in line with the dark theme of the outfit.  I linked a few different really inexpensive pairs of faux leather shorts for you guys above, because I truly believe that they’ve become a wardrobe staple, for at least three seasons out of the year.  I love them with a contrasting softer texture like this silk button up, and in cooler temps with a fuzzy or cable sweater and booties.

Also, since I’m getting lots of questions about these pointy snakeskin loafers, look out for an upcoming post on my fave pointed toe loafer picks!

**Sidenote: If you live in or are visiting the NYC area, the Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg is an awesome way to spend a weekend afternoon– head to brunch in any one of the tons of delish spots in the area (SweetChick being my fave!), then spend the rest of the day trying different beers and playing cards or dice with friends at one of the long park style tables– there’s no charge to get in and you can stay and hang out as long as you like!
