(Sister-Sister <3)
Gold dress: Zara (I also like this one, this one, this one, this one, this maxi one and this one) | Nude and gold heels: Manolo Blahnik (similar here, here ,here and here)
I consider myself to be a Bridal & Baby Shower throwing/organizing expert, as I’ve worked/planned/attended about 8475975340 of them already…and I truly enjoy each and every one– I love making my family and friends feel extra special for the momentous and memorable occasions and milestones in their lives. So needless to say, it was pretty cool when it came time last weekend for ours! Having all my favorite people in one place, sharing food, drinks, stories, girl talk and love is literally my happiest zone– I wish I could see and hug all of my family and friends every day (also wouldn’t it be nice to be served a delicious gourmet brunch courtesy of The Garden City Hotel on a daily basis as well?!). I am beyond fortunate to have so many amazing people, women on this particular day, in my life– so many amazing role models, colleagues, supporters, lifelong friends and soul sisters.
As far as the aesthetics went, I knew I didn’t want a traditional “boy themed” shower with blue– nothing against blue or tradition, but neutrals in gold, grey and white were so more up my alley! And when I stumbled upon this gold midi dress at Zara the weekend before, (imaginary) trumpets went off and in slow motion we ran into each other’s arms (that is, the dress and I). Obsessed with the slight 70s vibe and front and back slits! Plus, for those of you who aren’t into traditional pink/blue polka dot/floral print/put-a-bow-on-the-bump dresses, disco gold is a great option lol. I paired it with nude and gold trimmed Manolo Blahniks and sparkly chandelier earrings– I felt super glamorous and so ME 🙂 I know for sure that I’ll get plenty of use out of this dress in the future– I already plan on wearing it this Friday for a friend’s wedding, and since it’s non-maternity, I’ll be able to wear it long after the pregnancy.
Have a great week guys!
xo, ❤
