Look: Ribbed Turtleneck Dress & Suede on Suede

Ribbed Turtleneck dress: Topshop via Nordstrom (on sale!) and similar ones here and here |Suede moto jacket: Forever 21 (sold out, but similar options here, here and here| Tan Suede Fringe booties: Saint Laurent (my exact boots on sale here!) (and similar ones at lower price points here and here)

Fashion’s obsession with all things suede is going nowhere this spring and next fall season (meaning hold onto your suede pieces or pick up some new ones!)– the 70s / western trend is here to stay (for now).  I recently scored these Saint Laurent suede booties ON SALE !!! and I’ve had this real suede jacket from Forever 21 (proving that awesome suede pieces can be found at all price points!) since last fall.  With the warmer temps, I decided to pair these two transitional pieces with one of my fave dresses, this Topshop ribbed turtleneck number to create a fave combo of mine– the 90s/70s mix.  Again, this Topshop dress is simple, but the fit is spot on (and guyssss its NON-MATERNITY,  and ON SALE FOR $21 …WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!? shop it above…).  My current dress obsession is anything 90s inspired, mock or full turtleneck, ribbed and either short like this one or a midi length.  I totally want to encourage you guys to rethink how you wear dresses in your closet– pair the simple, sporty ones with booties and sneaks, and play around with different textured jackets to top them off! My basic outfit rotation, (currently 8 months pregnant!) is : Basic dress in neutral(ish) color + interesting topper in suede, leather, fur or a varsity jacket + pointed toe booties or simple sneaks= you have a current, easy, girly/tomboyish, go anywhere look! Try it, you’ll be hooked, I promise!

Shop my exact pieces through the links above, in addition to some similar pieces at varying price points!

xo, ❤
