The day after the Presidential Inauguration, Tim and I brought Nolan out for brunch and a museum day at The Whitney in the Meatpacking District. That same day, there were protests and marches organized around the country, including in NYC, where thousands of people came together to demonstrate their concerns with Donald Trump as our new president. I am not a person who is comfortable with conflict, negativity or the like– I’m def a people pleaser and peace keeper by nature– plus, I’m just not sure how to feel or what to think about the current political climate in our country. Just what is real? What is for show? What worries me more than “who is in charge” is that as Americans we feel more divided than ever…but don’t we all want the same things? Happiness, success, good health, and safety? Even though I did not participate in a march or protest, I wore this jacket purposely that day– maybe just as a reminder to be kind to one another, and that the energy that you put out into the world is 100% the energy that you feel and receive– I choose, and always will, GOOD VIBES.
