Striped cotton swing dress: Urban Outfitters | Tan suede jacket: Forever 21 |Rose -gold tipped white sneaks: Aldo |Gold Choker: J. Crew (similar here) | Tortoise Aviators: Wildfox Couture
I told you guys that this Forever 21 suede jacket would be on serious rotation! Proof!
My black leather moto jacket obvi will always have a special place in my heart and closet, but this tan suede number just opens up so many more possibilities! I don’t normally do shades of brown or tan, or “caramel”, as I’m theming this outfit post. But this jacket inspired me to play with three different caramel shades– the darker dress with the black stripes, which is a loose swing shape, and therefore begs for a more fitted, shape-giving topper like this jacket; the tan suede moto jacket itself (such an awesome vintagey vibe, right?!); and the rose gold and brown tortoise shades (ok that’s four shades of brown, fine). The look felt super autumnal, and both comfy and stylish for a city brunch and movie date. One of my favorite things about mixing pieces like dresses and sneaks with a fitted jacket, is that to me, this look can we worn in really, almost any setting– I’ve worn this exact look, and versions of it to work (which for me is a middle school), to dinner, to brunch, shopping, to family events (like Thanksgiving, upcoming) or even a night out.

Have a great week guys!
