Before temps in New York dropped to cold AF this weekend, I wore this look for a date with my guys. A fun mini skirt, whether leather (faux in this case), patterned, textured or in an unexpected color like this season’s standout red, has been my hero piece this fall— I’ve been pairing them with sweaters like this one and vintage inspired tees with either loafers, sneaks or booties. The juxtaposition of a slightly feminine top with an edgy skirt is one of my fave pairings… so this combo was a natural one for me. I have this ruffled sweater in grey, seen here, and also an olive green… it’s super comfy and soft— I sized up to a large for a slouchier look. White booties, the other piece that I can’t stop wearing for the past few seasons (proudly called this trend over a year ago; just saying !), add the perfect touch to this look.
