I wore this look yesterday for a day in Brooklyn with my little fam; after closet cleaning, I love to sell stuff I’m not using anymore at Buffalo Exchange (locations linked here)– bags, shoes, clothing, accessories– all gently used– they’ll give you 30% cash or 50% store credit for what you bring in! Whatever they don’t take, you can donate on site, which is super convenient.  After we dropped off my closet stash, we went for rooftop ice cream (best I’ve had EVER, let alone in New York) at Ample Hills Creamery and then just walked around and explored the Cobble Hill area (while, I’m mortified to say, Tim “and Nolan” searched for Pokemon on that new weird app that I’m pretty sure is a sign that all socialization of humankind is coming to a dead end).

This Tularosa label “Sofia” overall dress is right up my alley– first off, duh, its another iteration of my fave piece of all time, OVERALLS, and second, its a right in the tomboyish, cool but still put together zone where I’m most comfortable.  I paired it here with a simple black bodysuit– have to say, if you’re a fan of overalls in any form, bodysuits, under them are the way to go because they stay completely tucked in!!! Although you’ll double want to bash your head in when you use the bathroom lol– costs and benefits….

To be honest, the Tularosa version of the overall dress is the BEST fitting, quality, and wash I have found out there– and even though the one I linked for you guys above is on sale, it’s still over $100…so I linked a few other versions I like out there at different price points! Happy shopping!

One of my absolute favorite places to go during the summer is Montauk, the last town at the very tip end of Long Island, at the very end of the Hamptons.  We’ve been going for enough years now that we have our fave place to stay, Sole East Resort (linked here), for a chic, boutique hotel experience, that’s still charming, quaint and unpretentious.  We go to our fave surf spots (Ditch Plain, Turtle Cove, Atlantic Terrace), do the Camp Hero Hike to the lighthouse, and eat in all our fave spots (Harvest, Crow’s Nest, Bliss Kitchen, Gig Shack, Tacombi)– and this year was extra fun because we had Nolan as our (very welcomed) third wheel! Taking a two month old away, was really pretty easy– first off, we are lucky to have a “good baby” and secondly, at this age, all he really requires are diapers and formula– so he travels pretty light.  Here is what I wore last week in Montauk, with links for you guys to shop!

Mauve Off the Shoulder Dress: Motel via Urban Outfitters (On SALE for under $50!!!) | Lace up Sandals: Madewell | Grey Suede bag: Chloe Faye |Sunnies: Celine

I’m not normally a fan of pink- too girly, sweet and saccharine for me– you guys know I like a little boyish edge to my looks.  But there’s something about this shade of dusty-rose-mauve, a color usually reserved for your grandma’s manicure, that has me obsessed.  It’s a little vintagey, muted and more sophisticated, plus it’s great in summer with a tan and neutral accessories like the nude laceups from Madewell and grey Chloe bag I paired with it.   I wore this look for some rooftop day drinking with Tim, biked around the city in it, and then wore it straight to dinner at Loteria, an awesome little Mexican spot in the West Village.  This particular dress is from Urban Outfitters, in the super of-the-moment off the shoulder variety– pick it up now while it’s on sale and I promise you’ll wear it over and over this summer.
